Terminal V (Virgin Voyages)

Terminal V is the outlier of PortMiami, in the best way. Virgin Voyages' palm-grove-fronted building opened in 2021 on the northwest corner of the port, and it does not sit on the same loop road as Terminals A through F. It has its own approach off the port entrance, and that one detail trips up more drivers than anything else on Dodge Island: GPS happily sends cars to the main terminal row, leaving Sailors, as Virgin calls its guests, hauling bags the wrong way down a service road.

Our drivers know the split. Coming over the Port Boulevard bridge, Terminal V traffic peels off early, and we drop you under the entrance canopy where Virgin's crew takes checked bags within steps of the car. Virgin enforces arrival time slots more politely but no less firmly than anyone in the port; the brand's whole embarkation is designed around a steady flow, and turning up in your slot, relaxed, is part of the experience. We time hotel and airport pickups to land you inside it.

Virgin's adult-only sailings draw a lot of couples celebrating something, and it shows in what gets booked on this route: our First Class sedans and Luxury SUVs are chosen for Terminal V more than for any other terminal. Scarlet Nights on board deserve a Mercedes S-Class start from the hotel, and from Brickell or South Beach that upgrade costs less than dinner for two on Ocean Drive. Post-voyage, Terminal V disembarkation is the calmest in the port, and a car staged for 8:30 a.m. usually has you at MIA before 9:15.
